Maikel v.d. Boogerd

Maikel is not your typical back-end engineer, as he matches his passion for software engineering with a talent for graphical design and drawing. Simplifying and solving complex problems for users is what Maikel loves most about his work as an engineer.

Maikel lives in Rotterdam and besides engineering and graphic design, he enjoys gaming and driving online communities through Discord (any other WoW enthusiasts out there?).

With a background in multi-media design & technology and 9+ years experience as a back-end engineer, Maikel combines deep technological experience with creative thinking and a strong desire to develop Eyk into the most robust, secure and kick-ass data platform out there.

At Eyk, Maikel is responsible for enabling the user interface roadmap through the technology roadmap which includes security, scalability and advanced functionalities. In addition, Maikel is working with Bart on continuously improving the overall development workflow and processes.
